EW Rams Defeat Peninsula 3-1
The East Windsor Rams opened their MOSA Premier season by defeating the Peninsula Soaring Eagles 3-1 on Sunday afternoon. Strong play from Thomas Prummer, Christian Coridon (1-assist), and keeper Oliver Watkins (4Svs) sparked the Rams effort early in the match. In the 7th minute the strong effort earned a corner kick, and the Rams converted on the kick to take a 1-0 lead.

Sean Dailey’s corner kick traveled across the 6-yard line and one of two Rams just missed having their name included right here. Although they missed the ball and a little print, the two Rams were successful in screening the Peninsula defender.
The ball deflected off of the screened defender’s foot and into the net. The half ended with the Rams holding a 1-0 lead. The second half began with heavy pressure from Peninsula. They evened the score in the 6th minute, and later had a game leading score called back for Offside. The Rams fought through the early pressure, regained momentum, and forced the play late in the second half of the match. In the 47th minute of a 1-1 tie, Sean Dailey gathered a loose ball and attacked the seam of the Peninsula defense. He split two defenders for a breakaway, but was tackled in the penalty area before he could finish. Gregory Ewanis converted the game winning penalty kick, his first of the season, and Sean Dailey would add another in the 49th minute to seal the Rams 3-1 home opening victory. The Rams travel next Sunday to battle the Howell Legends. Come root on the EWR!
